Meden Medical Services
There has been a lot of press coverage regarding face to face appointments in GP surgeries.
We want to reassure our patients that WE ARE OPEN, and you CAN get a face to face appointment with a GP when clinically necessary.
As with many other GP surgeries, we have had to change our way of working to keep our staff and patients safe.
In the first instance please telephone the surgery on 01623 843521 or send us an online message if you have access to S1 online.
Calls and messages are triaged first by a clinician (either by telephone, or video call) and then the clinician will decide, after speaking with you whether you need to be seen face to face. If you do need to be seen, the clinician will book this for you and will see you in full PPE.
We ask all patients who are attending face to face appointments to wear a face covering and to sanitise your hands on arrival.
Patients who have a pre booked face to face appointment should expect a telephone call the previous day. They will be asked screening questions in relation to COVID 19.
These measures are all for your safety as well as the safety of our staff
WE ARE OPEN!
To comply with social distancing, we are only seeing patients for pre-booked appointments. Please contact us on 01623 843521 in the first instance to make a telephone consultation appointment.
If you have an appointment with us, please use the entrance accessed via the car park and call us on 01623 848824 to let us know you have arrived, you will then be collected from the door.
Please note masks must be work at all times while in the building.
Please do not bring your slips into the Health Centre. Please request online, via the NHS App or by calling 01623 843521 option 2.
If you cannot get through on the phone, please leave a message and we will endeavour to get back to you ASAP but please appreciate we are under extreme pressures.
Do not leave home if you or someone you live with has any of the following:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
- a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste
Please follow the latest government guidance found at: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus
