Disposal of Continence Products

The practice is receiving requests to complete clinical waste forms for the council from patients who are prescribed continence products. Please be advised that we do not complete these. Likewise, we do not provide letters / forms for those who wish to have an extra household waste bin.

Continence products do not fall under clinical waste guidelines; they are to be treated and disposed of in the same way as baby products and put into household general waste.

If patients are seeking additional bins, then they need to apply to the council directly and would have to pay if charges were levied for the extra bin.
