Home Visits

Home VisitsWe do expect patients to make their own way to surgery and encourage patients to seek the help of family, friends and other means of transport to do this. Home visits are reserved for patients deemed medically too sick to travel to the surgery.

Routine home visit requests must be made before 11 am each morning by calling either surgery site. A request does not guarantee that a visit will occur and the doctor may contact you to arrange a more appropriate appointment.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
